Metal Slug with Spin Master (NeoGeo)
By Cyril Lachel     |   Posted on September 17, 2001   |   Episode 7 (Show Archive)

Oh sure, the Metal Slug series continues on the PlayStation, and probably future systems, but I've always wondered one thing: after all these years, why can't you shoot diagonally? You can in the excellent Spin Masters . and that got me thinking. Why not Metal Slug and the Spin Masters, you can have the best of both worlds, and both would easily intermix with each other.

So our team of Defunct designers got to work, and I think you'll be impressed with the batch of pictures they have come up with. As you can see, they have elected player one to represent Metal Slug's burly action hero, while the second player will be the wimpy pencil neck geek from the Spin Masters series (he's also a Dashin' Desperado).

What's even better is that you don't even have to have a second player to have a great multi player game. That's right, just like Tails in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the Spin Master character (or the Metal Slug character, depending on which control you choose) will control independently via the computer A.I. Here we have four example of why this game can kick some serious alien butt!!
