A Clockwork Knight vs. Kingdom Hearts
By Cyril Lachel     |   Posted on September 06, 2003   |   Episode 30 (Show Archive)

In an attempt to make a non-violent weapon for Kingdom Hearts, Square and Disney gave their hero an everyday item. Something would only put fear in the heart of a keyhole. That's right, Sora from Kindom Hearts uses a key to smash his foes. How original, actually, that's not entirely true. Only half a decade ago Sega debuted a hero who was not only ready to take on cute toys and dolls, but was packing a sword that looked an awful lot like a key. His name, Pepperouchau, and he is the Clockwork Knight. To be fair, Pepperouchau is using an entirely different key, but it is in the shape of a heart. And you know, that's just a connection I'm not going to touch on. You're on your own from here, folks.
