Lords of Thunder (TTI)

Going Rate: $45*
What's Up: Back in the 16 Bit era 2D shooters were a dime a dozen, but a few stood above the rest. TTI's Lords of Thunder not only crushes the competition, but it's a great reason why everybody needs to own a TurboDuo. This is the sequel to the equally great Gates of Thunder, and not only does Lords of Thunder improve on the
franchise, but it sets a high water mark for the entire genre. A high water mark some believe has not been passed yet.

How Cool Are You: So your friends tell you the Turbo Grafx 16 sucks. They say there is no reason to own a Turbo when you could get a Genesis or Super NES. Well, I think the look on their faces will be priceless when you boot up Lords of Thunder. Alone or with a friend, you don't get much better 2D shooters than this, it has a interesting upgrade system, unique levels, and some action packed graphics. It's the MUST OWN game for the TurboDuo. They just don't make 'em like this any more.

*Prices for games and collectibles has been known to fluctuate wildly. What's more, this article was written in 2001, so any number of factors could sink or improve its value. I hope you enjoy the article, but hope you won't take the prices too seriously.)
