The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

You've seen commercials for it, you've watched families go to it on TV sitcoms . but no matter how hard you beg your mom, you're just not going to be able to afford to go to Disneyland's newest ride, Tower of Terror. Well fear not, because Disney and the company that brought you the Universal Studios theme park are about to scare the crap out of you thanks to their new PlayStation game.

You play yourself, a dopey-looking, talentless hack, who gets suckered in to paying way too much to visit a theme park you're way too old for. But don't worry, you won't have to wander around all the boring worlds Disney has set up for you, so you might as well just forget about seeing Futureland or any of the other places you've heard so much about. This trip to Disneyland is limited to just riding the Tower of Terror over and over, until you never want to hear Rod Serling's voice again.

In the options menu you will be able to look up all the interesting history about the tower, and why it's haunted. You will also be able to choose a

difficulty and whether or not you brought a kid along for the ride. Once you've plugged the controls is and customized your settings, you are ready to take one of the biggest falls of your life . well, of your virtual life.

The screen dims, all you hear are the restless sounds of kids and families, and all of a sudden you fall. At least, I think that's what happens, it's really too dark to tell. There's screaming, the youngsters are peeing their pants, it all happens so quick, and then it's over. If you invested in Sony's fancy pants Dual Shock control you will surely get the full impact as the control wiggles its way out of your hand and onto the floor, breaking loose bits of plastic each and every time you take the ride.

When it's over you will be rewarded with a number of choices, none of which will effect the outcome of the game. You'll be able to continue, but most people will probably just to quit, and substitute this game for something with more to do, like Aquanauts Holiday.

So if you've seen the commercials and want to go, but you live too far away or don't have the funds to get to Disneyland, I recommend you look for a copy of the Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror.
