Shanghai Mini

Only recently have I become a Shanghai fan, but in my short time with Shanghai: Mini I have fallen head over heals! Simply put, Shanghai: Mini is the best game of Shanghai I have played on a game system yet ... let alone a portable.

Now, don't get me wrong. Shanghai: Mini may not be every bodies cup of tea, but if you are like this simple (yet strangely complex) game you will absolutely LOVE this version of it. How could I rave so much about a Shanghai game? Simple, it's powers are in the options and variety.

You see, Shanghai Mini is both a classic version of the game, plus it has an adventure mode, a puzzle mode, and even a competitive mode (which can be played against your other friends with one OR two Neo Geo Pocket Colors). But better than all that, Shanghai: Mini does each of these different games extremely well.

The graphics are what you'd expect from a portable Shanghai game, and the sound isn't going to win a Grammy. But let's face it, this is the best Shanghai game on the Neo Geo Pocket Color ... or any other systems as far as I can tell, and that's saying something. If you are a fan you NEED to pick this game up. It's absolutely fantastic!
