Today we're taking a look back at Insert Coin, a magazine you probably haven't heard of from the early 1990s. The reason you haven't heard of it is because it was a little-seen zine created by me, Cyril Lachel. This episode of 29 Magazines of Christmas takes a look at the rocky road that made me who I am. Fans of Defunct Games can consider this video a long overdue origin story.

Excerpt: So it probably won't surprise anybody to learn that I attempted to create my own zine back in the early 1990s. This fuzzy picture is all that remains of my very first attempt -- Right Steps. And this is the second attempt, Coin-Op. Before long, I settled on the name Insert Coin and started publishing them bi-monthly. Of course, the magazine mostly covered console games, so neither name made any sense. But I'm pretty sure we've already established that I'm in idiot.

On Tomorrow's Episode: There are only a few days left until the season finale of 29 Magazines of Christmas. The next episode is a secret. I guarantee it will be better than this crap.
