Super Mario RPG (Square)

Going Rate: $40*
What's Up: When some gamers were starting to adopt the Sega Saturn and PlayStation, Nintendo/Square released what could be the last great 16 bit game. While some hard role playing gamers may
dismiss the Mario theme as just silly, but there's no down about the complexity and depth of the game. And with Mario characters sprinkled throughout the game, you never know who you'll run into next. Go ahead and point out Super Mario 64, but Mario RPG is by far the best 3D Mario.

How Cool Are You: For anybody who loves a good role playing game, this is a God send. It's like water after a month of French fries. Especially now with Paper Mario on the market, Mario RPG is a hot item. It's also the last game Square made for Nintendo, and that, my friends, is a nice thing to have. If you're into adventures, and you don't mind a great story with some corny characters, then you need to pick up Super Mario RPG!!

*Prices for games and collectibles has been known to fluctuate wildly. What's more, this article was written in 2001, so any number of factors could sink or improve its value. I hope you enjoy the article, but hope you won't take the prices too seriously.)
