Power Glove (Mattel)

Going Rate: $50*
What's Up: The great thing about the Nintendo Entertainment System is the freedom it gave companies to invent interesting, wacky, useless controls. One of the most interesting, wackiest, and most useless controls was Galoob's Power Glove. Simply put, the Power Glove was, like it sounds, a glove that helped you control your onscreen character. This worked better on paper then anywhere, but alas the Power Glove did have it's appeal. Some overhead shooters actually took advantage
of the Power Glove, and if you could master a few moves you could actually use the glove to your advantage. Problem was it was too expensive, there was too much hook up, and it was heavy.

How Cool Are You: Well, not at all if you constantly wear it, but if you show it proudly on your wall you too can be cool. Anybody that knows what the Power Glove is, and it's rocky history, knows how cool it is to own one. And if you can find the rare Extra Large size you will be EVEN cooler. It's big, and might be hard to display, but there's just nothing like it.
