The Great Video Game Movie Manifesto

Rule 3:
It's all in the Casting

To date only one video game movie has actually gotten this rule right ... and having not seen Tomb Raider (and not caring at all for Angelina Jolie) I don't know if it can even count in this category. Casting may be the most important rule to follow (though the others are extremely important, too), and we have already discussed it a bit in rule one. But let's face it, Columbia-born John Leguizamo is just bad casting as an Italian American!

And Jean Claude Van Damme? Come on, Guile does more than kick, doesn't he?!? Alyssa Milano in Double Dragon?!? Heck, Robert Patrick in Double Dragon! Dennis "Freaking" Hooper as King Koopa?!? What's going on here. What drugs are these people on, and did Dennis Hopper get them hooked?

Maybe Final Fantasy will finally get it right by not having any actors (all voice) at all.

Now then. After all that, it's time for some Movie Reviews
