This Week in Defunct Games - July 24, 2008

It's Thursday so that must mean that it's time for another episode of This Week in Defunct Games, the one show that looks at the week's best and worst retro releases. Since we were on location at the E3 Business & Media Summit last week, this week we have a special double episode for you. That means that we'll not only talk about this week's crappy Virtual Console games, but we'll also bring you up to speed with what came out last week. Oh, and there's a bunch of GameTap news, too!

Review: N+ (Reviews au Courant)

It may not be the best looking game on the PSP, but N+ proves that it can more than hang with the big boys. Atari's newest action game features hundreds of levels, downloadable content, compelling multiplayer levels, a level creator and much, much more ... and it's only $20. It's not perfect, but for that price you can't afford to pass up this retro platformer!

Review: Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit (Reviews au Courant)

Who knew that a Dragon Ball Z game could be this much fun? Burst Limit does nearly everything right, even if it does limit the amount of players you can use. Marred only by some technical imperfections, this Dragon Ball Z game is fun for fans of the franchise and those who have never watched an anime in their life. It's not perfect, but Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is worth checking out if you're into good looking fighting games!

Review: Warlords (Reviews au Courant)

It's not the best version we could have hoped for, but Warlords proves to be just as addictive today as it was 28 years ago. If you're looking for a fast-paced game that you can play with four people, then you should look no further than Warlords on the Xbox Live Arcade!

The Day Sega Made the Worst Game Ever

A Brief History of Gaming (Ep. 8) - Being a Sega fan isn't easy. First you have the terrible console add-ons, then there are the boneheaded mistakes, some crummy software, failed consoles and much, much more. Sega doesn't make it very easy to love them. But we all could have learned our lesson years ago when they released the worst game ever made. That's when we should have jumped off the bandwagon. But no, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. In this very special episode of A Brief History of Gaming we take a look at The Day Sega Made the Worst Game Ever!
