Neo Cherry Master

It's not that Neo Cherry Masters is a bad game, in many ways its far superior to it's similar cousins, it's just that Neo Cherry Masters isn't any reason to buy the system. Heck, it's not even worth owning unless you really enjoy slot machines.

Now, granted, Neo Cherry Masters wasn't intended as a North American game. It is fully Japanese, and therefore I shouldn't really complain about how out of place this game feels in my pile of carts. However, having said that, I can tell you about a pretty darn addictive slot machine that isn't very challenging, but does offer a few twists here and there.

As you can imagine there's a certain amount of luck needed in a game like this. You essentially pull the lever and then wait for everything to match up. When it does you win money. When it doesn't ... well, you're out a little money, but no big deal. Its time to bet again!

The problem with reviewing a game like this, though, is that it's not really my cup of tea. It plays pretty well, and looks as good as it's supposed to, all things considered. But it's not really that much fun. Now, that's not to say it doesn't try. There's two versions of the game you can play, one which is considerably harder (but only more frustrating). The game is also in both Japanese AND English, which is a major plus as this black and white version wasn't released officially over here in the states.

But even with a English language translation this game isn't really fun. It's alright for a while, and some may enjoy collecting the money, but truth be told, it's extremely difficult to recommend this title. I'm sorry, but this just isn't my type of game!
