Video Game Buyer's Guide
[ Publisher: Sendai Publishing | Price: $4.95 | Format: Multi Console ]
Today we're taking a look at Electronic Gaming Monthly's annual Video Game Buyer's Guide. This publication started its life as a regular issue of EGM, but was quickly spun-off into its own yearly magazine. Best of all, the editor's would review all the consoles currently available at your local Software Etc. Learn more about this unique publication in today's episode of 29 Magazines of Christmas!

Excerpt: Initially started as regular issue of EGM, Video Game Buyer's Guide was officially spun-off into its own magazine in 1991. Released between October and November, this holiday issue recapped that year's reviews, recycled a few previews and archived all of the older reviews. And when it was done with that, the same critics that reviewed Strider and Super Mario World turned around and reviewed the Sega Genesis, Super NES and whatever other systems were still being sold at the local Software Etc.

On Tomorrow's Episode: Come back tomorrow when we'll take a look at Turbo Force, the short-lived magazine that kept track of the TurboGrafx and TurboDuo. Find out why this publication only lasted four issues when you tune into Tuesday's episode of 29 Magazines of Christmas. Still want more? Don't forget to check out last year's 29 Questionable Power-Ups of Christmas. And don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel, that way you'll never miss a video. See you tomorrow.
