Today we're getting out of our comfort zone and looking at a magazines that has little to do with gaming -- Blender. We're not sure if Blender was any good at reviewing the newest albums, but one thing is for sure: They stink at reviewing games. Find out why in this brand new episode of 29 Magazines of Christmas.

Excerpt: In their July 2005 issue, Blender reviewed SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs, an online-focused PlayStation 2 game that didn't come out until, and I'm not making this up, October. Given the magazine's lead time, this review was likely written four months before the actual release. Which kind of explains why the review sounded like this:

"Everyone loves a good terrorist hunt. Good thing, too, since the third iteration of SCEA's SEALs game takes heavily armed soldiers through Poland, Morocco, and Bangladesh, searching for tangos under every rock. Twenty vehicles have been added to the mix - Humvees, SOC assault boats, T-72 tanks and more - all decked out with heavy artillery, turning this battle into a cross-country tour de morte."

On Tomorrow's Episode: Come back tomorrow when we'll take a look at EGM2. It's the sequel to Electronic Gaming Monthly and we'll learn all about it on Monday's episode of 29 Magazines of Christmas.
